WoteSawa with Girls Agenda Forum 2024 Celebrates International Day of the Girl Child in Dodoma
On International Day of the Girl Child, WoteSawa joined forces with other advocates under the Girls Agenda Forum in Dodoma, Tanzania, to highlight and celebrate the theme of "Girls' Leadership: Leveraging the Power of Technology." As one of the key conveners, WoteSawa participated in this impactful event, which aimed to inspire young girls to recognize their potential and embrace leadership roles in their communities.
The guest of honour, Hon. Ambassador Liberata MulaMula, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the girls to have confidence in themselves and believe in their potential. "You can achieve your dreams if you want to; confidence is key," she affirmed, underlining the importance of self-assurance and ambition.
The event also featured a panel discussion focused on empowering girls to engage actively in decision-making processes. Ms. Demitila Faustine from WoteSawa participated in the panel, motivating the girls to work hard, noting that success requires dedication and persistence. "Nothing comes out from nowhere," Ms. Faustine said, emphasising that continuous effort and determination are essential for achieving one's goals.
Through these discussions and interactive sessions, WoteSawa and other partners reaffirmed their commitment to supporting young girls as they embrace leadership opportunities and harness the power of technology for personal and societal growth. The event successfully fostered a space for dialogue, inspiration, and empowerment for Tanzania’s future female leaders.
